[BMI776] Notes on hw, project, readings

Hi all,

A handful of notes:

- HW #2: You may choose to use either the MEME or Gibbs sampling  
methods for motif finding.  Please note that it may be in your best  
interest to choose the method with which you are less familiar, as  
both may be represented on the final exam.

- Project proposal deadline: Proposals will not be due until March  
16th.  Some sample project ideas will be posted to the Web site later  
this week.  You are encouraged to come to my office and discuss  
possible topics that are most interesting to you (especially if they  
are topics that we have not covered yet).

- Reading for Thursday, March 1st: Thorne et al., 1991 (paper linked  
on Web site)
